A portrait for Shadi Megallaa, electronic music producer.
Shadi comes from Egypt. Raised in Abu Dhabi, on the shores of
the Arabian Gulf with very little musical inspiration at hand,
he first got introduced to electronic music at the age of 14.
Having studied Architecture at the University of Kansas, in
2001 he started to produce his own music. His first release
came out on Danish imprint Tic Tac Toe. Extra work done for
Igloo, Kalimari, Produkt and Pinksilver labels, with a few EPs
due to come out in 2007.
